1.2 Home screen and basic display & personalisation settings

If you are logged in to the app as a student, you will see 4 shelves within which you can see: the books you have activated, the tutors you are connected to, your courses, and the bookstore. Teachers see their students on the second shelf respectively.

 

Press the settings button in the main menu to personalise the view of the app. The settings allow you to change the display language or select a new time zone. Customise your home page by changing the shelves and their order of display. You can drag shelves from right to left and vice versa. You are able to turn off the LMS if you just want to study books without the additional features and enriched content. If you are registered as a teacher, there is an option to change the naming of shelves or load your school logo to the app.

 

The top-right navigation menu of the “student-mode” home page displays in order:

  • The Home button. When pressed, it takes you to the starting point of the application; the home page.
  • The Dashboard button. It enables a handy overview of your daily work and engagement.
  • The Email Inbox button. This is a closed intercommunication system between students and teachers where, among other things, you will receive your assignments.
  • The Settings button.
  • The Exit button.

 

The “teacher-mode” home page incorporates two additional buttons:

  • The button for managing classes and lessons .
  • The button for the authoring tool . It leads to the library of notebooks where teachers author and compile their interactive exercises and content.

 

Remark: In the free teacher account, the use of the authoring tool is subject to restrictions.

 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: I enter my username and password but the system does not allow me to log in.
Answer: Please make sure that your username and password are correct. In case your account belongs to an educational or corporate structure, contact the respective IT department. In any other case, please email us at support@publior.com or contact the publisher of your purchased book.

Question: I click on the Forgot my password button but I do not receive any notification in my email to reset my password.
Answer: 1. Make sure you have entered a valid email address. 2. Check your spam folder in your emails. 3. Wait 15 minutes before requesting a new email. In case this does not work, contact Publior at support@publior.com from the contact email you provided when you registered so we can change your password. Make sure to mention the username you are using.
